Description (Service) Involved in the prevention and control of infectious diseases.
  • Investigates cases of infectious disease (Diseases of Public Health Significance) and management of outbreaks
  • Investigates complaints related to infection prevention and control
  • Conducts surveillance of infectious diseases
  • Inspects adult and child care facilities and personal service settings (e.g. nail salons and tattoo and body piercing establishments)
  • Offers consultation, presentations, education, and health promotion related to infection prevention and control
Registered Nurses and Public Health Inspectors are available
