Description (Service)

Assists those who are involved with the legal system and are dealing with a mental health, addiction or dual diagnosis. Works as an advocate between the crown and defence attorneys.

Court Services can include:

  • Assistance inside the court room
  • Referrals to community resources
  • Recommendations to the crown and defence councils
  • Helping consumers navigate the legal system
  • Assisting consumers to interpret legal documents

Youth Mental Health Court Services (ages 12-17 years) can include:

  • Assistance inside the court room
  • Referrals to community resources
  • Work with probation managers
  • Will advocate for the consumer
